PROFILE

Vasileios Papadiamantopoulos is an EU Professional Licensed Architect Engineer since 2005. He is well rounded with experience in architectural projects incuding design and construction of new contemporary, modern structures, and adaptive reuse of existing sites and strucures. He holds a Diploma in Architecture(professional degree) from School of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, a Masters in Architecture Degree from School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Architecture from School of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he completed his research on “Biologically Inspired Design and Parametric Software".

His professional practice includes a variety of projects such as housing, retail, educational, academic, health, recreation and urban design. He tutored architectural technology and design studios in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and also supervised Diploma Thesis projects. His main contribution in these classes was in the areas of parametric design, digital fabrication, systems’ ontological analysis, biological inspired spatial light structures, as well as construction analytical design and detailing in contemporary building technology. His Academic work has been presented in conferences, exhibited and published.

His education and professional experience merge qualities from Engineering and Architecture, as well as analogue and digital means of design and construction. So far he constantly educates himself about codes and software, becomes familiarised with contemporary emerging architectural concepts and construction details, researches on various contexts’ details, and forms collaborative networks with architects and other expertise professionals in order to effectively deliver each different project.
